Jem first moved to Hong Kong in 1992 when the events industry was still in its infancy and has developed and grown alongside the industry in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and across the region. Starting as lighting, rigging and staging crew, Jem soon developed into technical management, production management and design roles and has become renowned for successfully taking on complex projects of a diverse nature.
Jem was the Technical Director for multiple segments of the 2010 Shanghai Expo Opening Ceremony, one of the largest events ever produced globally. Jem provided the technical design for a typhoon engineered temporary exhibition venue that mimicked a Lady Dior handbag, which withstood a typhoon signal T10.
Jem is delighted to be a founding Director for STUFISH Asia, a joint venture between STUFISH and Activation Events.
