Alicia Tkacz BSc DipArch ARB
Alicia is a Senior Associate and ARB registered architect and joined STUFISH in 2008. She studied Architecture at University College London and the University of Westminster, where she qualified with distinction. Working on a wide variety of both architectural and entertainment projects at STUFISH has allowed her to combine her love of both disciplines, and ensure that influences and skills are seamlessly and successfully integrated to create ‘Entertainment Architecture’.
She has lead and worked on a number of large scale architectural projects in China for the Dalian Wanda Group, including The Han Show Theatre in Wuhan, which opened in 2014 and was one of the world’s most technically complex theatre spaces. In 2015 she saw the completion of the Dai Show Theatre in Xishuangbanna China. This unique project provided her with the dream opportunity of working both as the architect of the theatre building and production designer of the specialist water show inside. STUFISH are the first architectural practice to deliver both the architecture of the theatre and also the design of the show inside.
Alicia has worked on a wide variety of touring and one-off shows, including: ‘The Sessions: A Live Re-staging of The Beatles at Abbey Road’ which opened at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016 and Madonna’s Rebel Heart world tour in 2015. Her production design credits also include a number of specialist shows in the UAE, including ‘The Spirit of the Union’ for the 40th Anniversary celebrations in 2011, ‘Story of a Fort, Legacy of a Nation’ at the Qasr Al Hosn Festival in 2013 and ‘Mother of the Nation’ in 2016.
She is involved in all stages of a project from initial client meetings, design concept and development, managing construction, visiting the site and rehearsals through to the opening.
Alicia loves dogs, and her Labrador Boz is always in the studio meeting and greeting clients and guests!
