A rare moment occurred on Thursday 16th of February at The May Fair Hotel in London when two of Pink Floyd’s founding members, Roger Waters and Nick Mason got together to meet the press for a Q&A session regarding the upcoming Pink Floyd Exhibition at the V&A, "Their Mortal Remains".
Ray Winkler, Stufish’s CEO and Design Director chatted with Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell, Pink Floyd’s Creative Director, about the upcoming exhibition.
In conversation, Ray presented the exhibition design to the press, and explained some of the concepts behind the immersive designs while Po elaborated on the historical and emotional significance of the exhibits.
Stufish's design of the exhibition is a continuation of our long history with the band that started with Mark Fisher's designs for their "Animals" tour in 1977, continuing with the "Division Bells" tour in 1994 through to Roger Water's tour "The Wall" in 2010/13
The exhibition displays never before seen Pink Floyd memorabilia; from original hand written lyrics to album artwork and is a true treasure trove for any Pink Floyd fan.
The exhibition is on from 13th May until 1st October 2017 with Tickets now on sale. Admission is £20 Monday – Friday, £24 Saturday – Sunday, and concessions available. V&A Members go free. Advance booking strongly advised. Tickets available in person at the V&A; online at vam.ac.uk/pink-floyd or by calling 0800 912 6961 (booking fee applies); or from ticketing partners Ticketmaster, LOVETheatre, See Tickets and Encore.
